MODULAR ALLEY
PAINTED THIS ALLEY AS A SELF-INITIATED PROJECT WHICH TURNED INTO COMMISSIONED MURAL PRODCUTION FOR MODULAR NIGHT CLUB, CAPE TOWN. THE MODULAR MAP WAS THE CATALYSER, AS WELL AS A MURAL I PAINTED AS PART OF THE SEPERATE PROJECT PRIOR TO COMMENCING THIS ONE.
THE CHARACTER, OR THEME, TITLED "MOTHER MODULAR" "Mother Modular" was something I aptly thought portrayed the genius loci of Modular and associated rave culture. The idea was to create this incandescent "Cosmic Goddess" representative of the energy and sensation of the space whilst keeping her playful, light and colourful but as equally dark and mysterious at the same time. I hope all the ravers here enjoy their time exploring the artwork! There are lots of hints you'll find exploring it.
